Debido a 5 casos de picaduras de Fragata Portuguesa notificados el día de ayer en las Playas de Iloca y Duao .
La Seremi de Salud Maule determina PROHIBICIÓN DE USO PARA BAÑO PARA LAS SIGUIENTES PLAYAS
- Llico comuna Vichuquén.
- Lipimávida comuna Vichuquén.
- Rancura comuna Licantén.
- Iloca comuna Licantén.
- Duao comuna Licantén.
Existe continua Vigilancia Seremi Salud Maule, Armada de Chile y Carabineros de Chile.
En cuanto a los casos, al momento corresponden a tres menores, un adolescente y un adulto. Todos están evolucionando favorablemente y han sido dados de alta. Todos se encontraban bañando cuando sintieron algo gelatinoso pegado, sintiendo ardor y dolor. Se corrobora que es Fragata Portuguesa
Recomendaciones
1.- No bañarse ni jugar en aguas con fragata portuguesa.
2.- No tocar ni tomar ejemplares de estas medusas, incluso cuando estén muertas.
3.- No caminar descalzo en playas con presencia de ejemplares, siempre con ropa y zapatos.
4.- Si debe trabajar en el mar, utilice siempre guantes, calzado y trajes de goma.
En caso de una picadura de fragata ¿Qué se debe hacer?
1.- Lavar y remover con cuidado los tentáculos con pinzas, guantes, evitando tomar contacto con ellos.
2.- Lavar el enrojecimiento con agua de mar o agua con sal al 50% (1/1) o suero fisiológico. No aplique vinagre o agua dulce.
3.- En caso de decaimiento, escalofríos, vómitos y/o fiebre, acuda al centro de salud más cercano.
